Supportive Services Coordinator - Penns Crossing (Part-time)

Position Reports To: 
Supportive Services Coordinator Supervisor
Full-time/Part-time: 
Part-time (No Benefits)
Responsibilities: 
· Refer residents for emergency needs ie, rental assistance, food, medical, transportation · Establish and maintain positive relationships with coworker, residents, and community agencies · Promote wellness activities for all residents · Provide educational opportunities · Educate residents, families, and staff on available community resources · Work as a team with property manager and other property staff · Distribute yearly resident survey · Maintain individual files on residents which may contain intake information, referral history, service provider history · Maintain resident confidentiality · Provide referrals to state, local and community agencies to alleviate resident need · Assist with the bi-monthly newsletter · Empower residents to meet their own needs through education and training.
Qualifications: 
· Background or education in social work, human services, or public health · Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. · Ability to maintain confidentiality · Experience with community organizing · Sensitivity and ability to relate to people from diverse lifestyles and cultures · Good organization · Strong interpersonal communication skills · Team player · Works well with other and independently · Knowledge of eligibility for for federal and state entitlement programs · Experience in planning community events and activities · Knowledge of community resources · Conflict resolution/Problem solving skills Equal Opportunity Employer, including Disability/Vets.
